ARTIST STATEMENT
My paintings are naturalistic descriptions of my life and love. Using brayer techniques layered with oil pastels and acrylics on paper, I explore the fundamental elements of art to create abstract expressive pieces. I draw inspiration from the visual effects created by line, texture, and pattern intertwined with vivid and meaningful colors. In each series, I investigate the uniqueness and story of botanicals through my life's lens. Through my work, I seek to communicate what is essential to me and inspire viewers on a joyful journey. Creating without expectation, I aim to capture the essence and boldness of my young students and share it with the world.
