Splash, Drip, Throw

ABOUT THE EXHIBIT
Splash, Drip, Throw is a virtual exhibition centered around abstract art. The focus of this exhibition is to highlight artists using abstract visual language to convey ideas and underlying themes. Splash, Drip, Throw is not only composed of expressionists and action-based painters, but includes a wide range of artists using abstraction.
NOTE FROM THE CURATOR
Splash, Drip, Throw presents contemporary artists from around the world, employing an abstract visual language.
The show highlights the diversity of outcomes that can fall under the banner of 'abstract', as the exhibiting artists employ a range of approaches including splash, drip and throw. Mark making, and exploration of the materiality of the medium of paint are seen here, alongside pieces which have a less gestural, and more constructed appeal alluding to underlying forms.
The visitor is presented with art that is bold, gestural and colourful, alongside quieter, nuanced work that is sometimes monochrome. The show presents the breadth of abstract art being produced by contemporary artists today.
